For my family and our dog
So we got some really good advice and a low dose of meds from the vet. We didn't talk about the future of the meds, but I think that the purpose is to give our dog a chance to calm down and taste the sweet life of being a good dog - like an intervention - it's given him the ability to stop, which has improved our relationships. So in just a week there's been some positive improvement with the meds and calmly talking him down when he starts to nip.Hugo Drax wrote: 06 Mar 2025, 18:10 Not to intrude, but I've been worried sick about this. What's the score?
Prayers aren't stopping on this end, bud.
I think this also gives us a chance to learn his language - I'm seeing better response from him using "tone" rather than "volume". It's only a week now, but it does seem to be going in the right direction.
I'm hoping we learn his lingo and he learns not to nip before the 1 month prescription of meds runs out. It could happen. I'm sure we can get a refill, no worries there, but I'd just rather have him off meds, and just being a regular healthy dog, as soon as possible. I am optimistic.
Thanks all, for your prayers. Much appreciated.
Wishing you God's very best!
