Laphroaig is my go-to as a poor man's Lagavulin.

Fails a side by side comparison, but good stuff at half the price.

Ha, same here. I have a bottle of Laphroaig on the shelf now but can't bring myself to spend the money on Lagavulin (though I might order it on a corporate tab).
