A very well-done documentary on the Chowchilla Kidnapping in California on MAX.
I remember when it happened, back in the 70's.
It'll be well worth your time. It's haunting.
Has anyone here seen Chowchilla?

Never seen it, and I'm struggling to recall the incident. I Googled it, and only very vaguely recall it. But 1976 was a pretty wild year for me, and I was out of touch with a lot of national news, which at that time was limited to newspapers and 3 networks.
It looks eerily similar to the Dirty Harry movie, which was 1971. The so-called D.B. Cooper hijacking was in 1971 as well.

The Indians will not bother you now, on account of ... you are touched.

A written plan by one of the perps revealed that Dirty Harry was indeed an inspiration for the act.sweetandsour wrote: ↑13 Jan 2024, 23:59 Never seen it, and I'm struggling to recall the incident.
