A very well-done documentary on the Chowchilla Kidnapping in California on MAX.
I remember when it happened, back in the 70's.

It'll be well worth your time. It's haunting.

Never seen it, and I'm struggling to recall the incident. I Googled it, and only very vaguely recall it. But 1976 was a pretty wild year for me, and I was out of touch with a lot of national news, which at that time was limited to newspapers and 3 networks.

It looks eerily similar to the Dirty Harry movie, which was 1971. The so-called D.B. Cooper hijacking was in 1971 as well.

A written plan by one of the perps revealed that Dirty Harry was indeed an inspiration for the act.
