I remember seeing a couple of episodes during the lockdown a couple years ago. It was ok, but I haven't seen any more for whatever reason, I don't know. Is it still showing? New episodes?

Yes, Season 1 and 2 are streaming and Season 3 has just come out, premiering in theaters. Apparently there will be 7 in total. I think season 1 was on a shoe string budget but since then there's been a lot of interest and with that increased funding.

I'm sure several. I am not one of those.

Hope this helps.

2017? What revived the interest in it all of a sudden?

They dropped a new season. The opener is a double episode -- like a full-length feature film. The success of the earlier seasons has given them a much larger budget to work with, so old fans are wowed and buzzing. A whole bunch of new viewers are coming on board.

I really enjoyed the first season. Watched the first half of the second season and there was a point where they went waaaaayyyy off book with one of the disciples- I get the character reasoning behind it, but it was a bit too far for me. I think the plot decision was on order of Peter Jackson ruining Faramir to make him more "believable" (he wasn't)- the showrunners don't seem to understand how life changing an encounter with God Made Flesh can be (which is funny, because it's kind of the whole point of the show).
