Never have found a bottle. BUT, I did find a bottle of Old Overholt Bottled in Bond 100 proof, and it is gooooooood. Also, it made excellent "bourbon" balls, and fantastic fruit cake. This will definitely be my go to rye.

How does it compare to the Wild Turkey 101 ? I find that amount of rye to be pleasant and not rip my face off with a loaf of bread....sweetandsour wrote: ↑11 Dec 2022, 19:27 Never have found a bottle. I wouldn't say it's an aggressive rye. It's a smooth sipping whiskey. I haven't tried the 100 proof stuff yet though. It's definitely a different profile than WT 101 since it lacks the corn.gaining_age wrote: ↑13 Dec 2022, 04:10How does it compare to the Wild Turkey 101 ? I happen to have both here at the moment, in fact. The WT101, to my taste, is a bit smoother for sipping, and a tad sweeter. The OH BIB is smooth also and a bit sharper, and can also have a sweet note of it's own. Sometimes I just want a good rye, especially in winter months, and as a pre-meal sip before a seafood dinner or gumbo. A shot of rye with honey and lemon in the morning after breakfast is great for colds also. The OH BIB costs ~$5 more than the regular OH, but it's my go-to rye now if it's available.gaining_age wrote: ↑13 Dec 2022, 04:10How does it compare to the Wild Turkey 101 ? I bought a bottle of EW BIB this morning out of peer pressure.
The price is certainly right.

It was my go to for many years, Jim.
You might want to think about that some.
