I haven’t bought a pipe in over a year. Post yours and make me feel better about it.

I didn't actually purchase this. My wife saw it while we were in a pawn shop looking at used firearms. Insisted that I 'needed' it.

It is stamped 'chesterfield'. It has several stamps on the band. None of which I have any information on. Where's Rusty when you need him? It looks to be in barely smoked condition. I haven't tried it yet.

Looks like a Kaywoodie stamp on the stem.

No new pipe purchases in at least a year for me either. I probably have appx 30 pipes, and I probably haven’t smoked half of those in the last year. Not that I really need any tobacco right now either, but I did recently jump on a sale at pipesandcigars.com and bought 6 tins of Irish flake on the cheap ($8.40ea) - that’s probably info for a different thread though, lol.

I bought a Peterson military bit but it was poorly packed and was in pieces when it arrived in a soft padded envelope type package. The seller said he could fix it or use parts so back to him it went. If he had the skills to fix it, he should have had the skills to pack it...

Anyway other than the DR Graybow Omega that I bought new in the package before the site crash, I have not purchased any others.

I have enough, but every now and then I see one that trips my trigger...Goose had a couple in his store last winter, but they went for more $$ than I was prepared to pay.

Troubadour wrote: 30 Apr 2022, 11:28 I picked up a Scotte brand resin pipe on Amazon because the brand had some good reviews from other websites. (Oddly though, Scotte brand pipes don't seem to have their own web listing outside of Amazon). Hopefully it does the job:

Why? Is it the resin or the metal filter?
All of it. But I do hope you enjoy it.

So I bought this one...it was inexpensive and will make a great pipe while fishing or bird hunting. Need a clean up and some wax and it should be good to go. I haven't purchased a pipe since before the old site crash...so this is fun...It is an old Iwan Ries, so maybe a Savenilli or Comoy make with IR name stamp
