Nice smoke till I got a late night visit...

Post by SlowToke »

Reminds me of an old park ranger that used to work the night patrol at the local state park I worked at when I was a teenager. His name was Blue John. I don't think that was his given name but that's what everyone called him. He had to be in his 70's or 80's. He was a man of few words and when he did speak it was difficult to understand what he was saying. He would sit down on the boat dock every night in a lawn chair with a bag of dog chow and feed a momma raccoon and her brood of babies and they would climb all over him.

On a tangentially related note (visiting animals): My daughter got a part time gig while in school, in a National Park. Cool gig for her. A porcupine has been coming around to the lodge regularly and sort of befriending the staff. They have some neat videos of it acting like it wanted to get inside and such. No problems, however animal control got wind of it and has some concerns about that behavior - they say a porcupine shouldn't want anything to do with hoomans and it should be sort of hibernating. Sounds like they're going to catch it, rehab it and re-release it.
Wishing you God's very best!

Dude! I destroyed the syntax on that post. My apologies.
