It's just stupid to say that Pope Francis isn't doing his part to care for immigrants in his country. He simply can't give what he doesn't have.

The Vatican is 121 acres.

Approx half of this appears to be plazas/parkland.

High-rises can fit >100 apartments/acre.

Assuming each can hold 5 people, the Vatican could host 30,000 refugees.

That plaza is filled with pilgrims from all over the world, at least twice a week. There is no wasted space in the Vatican.

You know enough to not trust the left-wing media. We kinda need to apply the same wisdom to the right-wing media. It's a stupid red herring to suggest that Vatican City Park has jobs or space to support a population of immigrants. This does not engage the substance of Francis's urging.

Pope Francis's point is that every nation needs to protect its borders and control the rate of immigration. (Wosbald's sources mostly ignore this part.) A nation should not take in more than they can integrate and assimilate, so as to avoid immigrant ghettos of misery and poverty.

But the flip-side is also true: Wealthy Christian nations should embrace a welcoming policy toward immigrants. The "Kick Them All Out" parties in Europe are just as evil as the "Kill All the Children" party in America. Christians cannot support them.

For my part: You may peacefully dispute Francis's balance of opinions. Just please don't fall into the stupid-trap of saying that Francis should house all of Europe's immigrants in the Vatican. Europe's focus must be on corralling the pirates and slavers, controlling their own borders and flow of immigrants, and settling the migrants already in their midst into jobs and homes of their own.
=============================

It's going to bite future Democrats hard when the children of migrant families (who were allowed in illegally) turn into a bloc of pro-freedom, pro-life, pro-family, devoutly Catholic Republican voters.

I predict Democrats will pivot yet again upon their racist axis and oppress those Hispanics for their faith. ¡Viva Cristo Rey!

As Pope Francis calls for sending more arms to Ukraine (instead calling for peace), we discuss the news with Alexander Markovics, head of the Suvorov Institute. He believes that the Pope is right about one thing – the West is definitely cutting its aid to Kiev.

BREAKING: Pope Francis has expressed openness to Catholic blessings for same-sex couples, under the condition they are not confused with marriage ceremonies for men and women, in what could be a watershed moment for the global Catholic Church.

I want to give you the same advice that I give to wosbald: Do not trust the reporting of National Catholic Reporter, which exists to spin the Vatican news in a way that supports the Democrat party and their lobbies.

What actually happened is that some orthodox Catholic cardinals submitted questions to Pope Francis. The long responses were in Jesuit weaselese, which allowed NCR and their ilk to interpret it however they wanted. So the Cardinals reduced their questions down to something that a simple yes-or-no could answer.

Here is an article with the simplified dubia, awaiting clear answers from the Vatican:
https://www.dailywire.com/news/cardinal ... n-of-women

Here is a twitter link with the original responses. If you open it, you can find the original response regarding "marriage and the blessing of 'same-sex marriage' " as response to "Question 2" on pages 3 & 4.

It speaks of the Synod on so many levels.
