Del, I'm tickled pink that you liked that. It has been the cherry on top of a pretty great day. Thank you, brother.

In case anyone cared, the three questions were:

1. Am I Jesus?
2. Am I in control?
3. Am I tearing down or raising up?

This morning I filled in for our SS teacher, and covered Galatians 3: 14-22. I guess I muddled through it ok, but it wasn't easy.
The Indians will not bother you now, on account of ... you are touched.

This is the sermon text for Sunday.
1 Peter 3:18–22
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, [19] in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, [20] because they formerly did not obey, when God’s patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water. [21] Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, [22] who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.
I'm having a little trouble with 19-21.

Psalm 106:4 "Remember me, O LORD, when you show favor to your people; help me when you save them."

The psalmist expresses his confidence in God to save him and Israel from their captivity. This theme of salvation fits into a bigger biblical theme in which God will ultimately save his people from ALL of the effects of sin.

Twelve years ago, we trusted in God to take care of JMG's problem. He did. And if we were able to access all the prayer requests from the last twelve years, we would see God's provision in a lot of other things.

The New Year. God's got this.
