Savinelli Balsa Filter ?

Post by ChildOfGod »

Anyone used the Savinelli Balsa Filter for any length of time? I've gotten tired (and a little scared) of fumbling with pipe cleaners while driving.
Wishing you God's very best!

I got a pipe in Portland it was a Savinelli and set up for the balsa filters. I bought a pack used the pipe a half dozen times or so and didn't like the filters at all..so I just used it with out the filters...Never cared for the pipe, so cleaned it up and sold it...

Good luck with yours

I own a few of the Sav filtered pipes, but quickly grew frustrated with the balsa sticks. I enjoy all of them without the filters.

One of my first pipes I ever purchased is a Savinelli Duca Carlo bent billiard. I didn't realize it was a balsa filter pipe when I bought it. I used the filters for a few weeks and didn't care for them so I ditched them several years ago. The pipe was the worst pipe I've ever broken in but persistence paid off and it's one of my favorite pipes to smoke today. But, yeah, I found the filters to make things worse.

Yeah... gave 'em a shot but enjoy the pipes more without the filter. I think drilling a thin hole down the center of the filter might make them work for me but I'm too lazy.
