Old men talking about the weather.

Go.

Hot and dry came early this year, but we're supposed to get some rain relief the next two or three nights. I put some new sod down a few weeks ago and my water bill is feeling the pain trying to keep it growing.

We're already in a drought. I'm not watering grass yet, but I'm doing all I can for the tomatoes and peppers. My grandson says there's 70% chance of rain next week.

Southern Wisconsin is looking at a risk of frost this week. In late May.

Who knew that $4+ gas and Bidenflation could reverse global warming so quickly?

We should have done this years ago, I guess.

A thunderstorm rolled through late last night/very early morning. Haven't looked at the rain gauge yet, but the ground pretty much soaked it all up. My grandfather used to say, "there's always a good rain at the end of a long dry spell".

Snowed here Friday. My niece was married Friday afternoon in Estes Park, which is at 7500'. The venue had a covered balcony with heaters. It wasn't what they'd expected when they set this up a year and a half ago, but it was awesome with the snow falling in the background. There was about 6" on the ground when we started down the hill after the reception, but it petered out to almost nothing at my house.

Cloudy and cool here today, but I think we're done with overnight freezes so we're setting all the potted plants back outside.

1" rain exactly, Saturday night. It's overcast here now and a light northeast breeze, but low chance of rain, reportedly. Lows this week are forecast to be in the low 60s. Trout should be busting topwaters I'll bet.
