We have a wildfire going up near the cabin. It's 5 miles west of our place and they're working like hell to contain the east flank so our home (and many others) are protected. It's not huge at this point, but there's a lot of "valuable assets" (homes) so the US Forrest Service is hitting it hard - there's well over 300 people and 8 or 10 aircraft assigned to this thing. It dangerous terrain and airspace.
Rain and cool days would help. Please pray for the safety of those on the line and those supporting them. They're legit heroes.

Prayerful.
I have a friend that has been in and out of fire zones all summer. These folks earn their keep.

Fire's out. Mostly. Crews are resting, preparing to go home. I've heard of no injuries or - less important, but not unimportant - structure damage.
Thank you Lord, and thank you CPS.
