Most definitely an emotional moment. I could hardly speak. As a final legacy, we gathered $39 in change from cleaning it out, plus 2 one dollar bills, some lead weights, worm hooks, various pens and pencils, golf tees, a box of plastic spoons and various types of floss and toothpicks, along with some other items left by grandkids and other riders. We had to wash the change since many of the coins were stuck together or covered in soda water syrup, bubble gum and chocolate.JimVH wrote: ↑09 Oct 2024, 09:21RIPsweetandsour wrote: ↑09 Oct 2024, 08:54 I'm looking around the board this morning hitting the "thanks" button, waiting for a tow truck to come take away our car. It was a good car.
I understand. I felt something as they towed her away.

Sitting here waiting for the numbnuts second son of our contractor to arrive for a meeting. I'm going to take a picture of this guy's notes because, well, just plain because. Good soul. Third class mind. That combination has prevented his murder.

The local cross town football rivalry game of each season is always a sellout. This season the home team is Port Neches, and their stadium seats 13,000, + standing room, so they usually sell ~ 14,000 tickets. The general admission tickets for the home side went on sale yesterday morning at 9:00, and were sold out at 9:03. That's 3 minutes?! I didn't get our tickets, so for the first time in years, we won't be in attendance. If this was last season, with our grandson playing, I'd be there if I had to cut a hole in the fence. But this Friday, I'll watch on line.

We got a puppy a few weeks back, and we completely forgot how taxing it is to raise a pup.
Wishing you God's very best!

There was a lot of chatter on fb about the almost immediate sellout; but our daughter works in the school district office and said it was legit. Unfortunately she couldn't use her inside leverage for extra tickets. But, I'm beginning to feel better about watching the game on line anyway.

We voted Monday morning, and my 94 y.o. father in law voted curbside, never leaving the vehicle. Reportedly over 11,000 people voted in our county on Monday. which was a new record.

The election thread has been off the leader board for two days.
I hope Del is doing OK.
