I also admire the X-Men, particularly RFK Jr. He and Gabbord will be outstanding cabinet members who clearly put the good of the nation above their own.
Cabinet members whose confidence masquerades as expertise is not the way to a functional bureaucracy.

Unless, of course, a dysfunctional bureaucracy is precisely the point.

There haven't been any advertised promises of Cabinet positions, yet.

But it has been strongly hinted that these will provide important leadership and policy guidance. "Advisors" is the term, I believe.
Don Jr. and Jared Kushner were vital to the Trump Admin - and the cause of world peace - without having Senate-confirmed executive positions.

RFK Jr. is named to be on President-elect Trump's "transition team," if it comes to pass. Setting policy and selecting the key staffers and Cabinet members who will execute those policies.

It's going to be exciting and fun to see, however it settles.

All of these are successful leaders in business, military, and political leadership. They have earned their confidence.

Not a bunch of DEI hires, like Kamala and the Biden Admin.

Do you suppose I admire them for their confidence? If so, why?

Do you suppose confidence is a disqualifier? If so, why?

Do you suppose they don't have expertise in their individual fields? If so, why?

Do you suppose they wouldn't be respected by the bureaucrats in their various departments and agencies if they're appointed? If so why?

My supposition that Trump is a Fascist who's vowed to staff his Admin — rather than with the "Deep State moles" so critical to keeping his worst impulses in check during his first term — with loyalist hacks more adept at fomenting chaos and systemic paralysis than with public service.

By that metric, trains running on schedule, sir.

I've seen nothing in all their years of service that supports your supposition. Musk is a rich wackadoodle, but even he, along with the others seem to be their own persons, who've all proven they're willing to take heat standing for their convictions. Before they had anything to do with Trump. Hardly "loyalist hacks". I think Trump is a 'big picture' guy who'll appoint folks he thinks will generally run their departments in the direction he wants and who generally agree with him on the big things. So yeah, in that regard he'll choose loyalists just like every other president.

Chaos? Systemic Paralysis?

BLM riots were chaos. Systemic paralysis was Kamala and Walz, supporting the riots and preventing cops from stopping them.

Both Biden and Kamala claim that they were unable to secure the border due to systemic paralysis. They needed Congress to give them permission to enforce the laws that Congress passed regarding immigration. (That's why the migrants are "illegal," you see.)

You want chaos and systemic paralysis -- You got it in Biden and Kamala.
===========================================

The MAGA avowed policy of less government, less bureaucracy, less staff, and less regulation of our lives.... is pretty much the polar opposite of left-wing and right-wing fascism. It is the policy of freedom and liberty.

Now, if you don't want freedom and liberty (and a lot of people don't), then you should vote for Kamala and their Democrats.
They are the ones who pledge to force Catholic doctors and hospitals to perform abortions.
They are the ones who pledge wide no-prayer zones to protect abortion clinics.
They are the ones who still want to throttle social media and censor anyone who speaks contrary to their policies as "misinformation."
They are the ones who push L-gibbity ideology to our children in our schools.
They are the ones who pledge to separate families and take children from parents who do not support gender transition of their minor children.

Basically, if you a fascist policy of punishing those who do not agree with the government's intrusive agenda, that option is available. But it's not MAGA.

Seriously.... If anyone thinks that Kamala is going to appoint capable, effective leaders who are not corrupt in the places of Mayorkas, Garland, Admiral Levine, and Supreme Court Justices who are not just DEI like Ketanji Brown-Jackson, ....

I'd like to know why anyone thinks that.

I expect that she would leave everyone in place from the Biden Admin, just so she doesn't have to think about it.
