Also, I don't think it's a bad thing if agents kill traffickers "on the spot" if they present a clear and present danger, but that's a different thing than the POTUs saying that's a new policy. (even if it is)
Serious question: Do you know any real persons who might read this headline and think,"Trump wants accused persons to be shot on sight or hung outside upon arrest!"
That never, ever occurred to me.
My only thought was, "Trump Admin wants prosecutors to seek death penalties for child traffickers."
Trump: "Anyone caught trafficking minors will get the death penalty immediately"
I'd like to think you're among critical thinkers here, who won't believe that headline. But this is the type of thing that scares the puddin' out of those that are young or marginalized or just plain stupid. They already think Trump's out to get them and reading that Trump will suspend due process and start killing people on the spot isn't helpful. Is it any wonder why that whacked kid in PA thought he had to stop Trump before he was able to follow through with this type of 'threat'?
The reality is that every one of us has a death sentence which no politician can commute or pardon or ban.
Some folks are so cruel in treating their fellow citizens that it makes surviving family members, peace loving communities and some juries want to hurry things along.

Reporter: isn’t that a dangerous message you’re putting out?
Sheriff: That is an absolute correct message I’m putting out
I don't like the effort to conflate self-defense with capital punishment.
Some thug starts beating on a woman at a gas station and tries to jack her car -- and she pulls out of pistol to defend herself. That is not capital punishment or death penalty after due process. That is self-defense, and we need to make sure that the benefit of doubt and the protection of the criminal justice system favor the young mom or the elderly citizen who doesn't deserve to become the victim of a thug or a zealous DA.
REP. ANNA PAULINA LUNA PUSHES DEATH PENALTY FOR CHILD PREDATORS
2 of her 3 bills, all of which are being introduced in the 119th Congress, would require sentences of death or at least life imprisonment for those charged with a wide range of crimes related to children.
Rep. Luna:
"If you are raping someone, if you're molesting someone, you are essentially murdering their soul.
Those people never actually fully recover."
A third bill would mandate 30 years to life for adults convicted of rape or sexual abuse.
The opinions expressed here may or may not be my own.
I post links to stuff.

The good news:
Since his inauguration, Trump has acted on much of what he said he'd do.
The bad news:
Trump said he'd do some whackadoodle things.
His hyperbolic yakking doesn't bother you, Del, because your a Trumper who understands hyperbole when he see's it. I'd say you're so far in his pocket that you'd excuse a few of his more extreme statements even if he followed through with them because, on the whole, he's your man. I absolutely know some real people who are afraid the orange man is out to get them - not human traffickers, just people who've seen what Trump has said and who've bought what the MSM has been laying down about him over the last few years. Circling back to our lack of civics education, I have friends and family who don't understand Trump - who, while he won overwhelmingly and has a "mandate" - doesn't have the power to do some of the things he might like to do and our system provides for checks on anything too extreme.
