Pea Sheller...
Fake news. I've known first hand all my life what a real pea sheller is, a 10 or 11 year old, out on the porch, thinking it's summertime and there's other things to do besides sitting here shelling peas. But still, they sure go well with okra and cornbread and maybe a snap or two included in the mix.

We probably moaned about it then, but surely some of our best days were spent on the porch with a bowl in our lap, shelling peas and listening to the stories of the old people.sweetandsour wrote: ↑28 Jun 2022, 06:56 Fake news. My youngest asked me as I was using the sheller, "Dad, can I still shell some myself?" As a family, we'll still be doing our share by hand together. We all enjoy sitting around together like that. But when I'm staring at 7 or 8 5-gallon buckets at one time, that sheller is going to be NICE!

When a garden is so big that you use a tractor and machines to put it in, it makes sense to have a few machines to help at harvest.jmg wrote: ↑28 Jun 2022, 17:27 My youngest asked me as I was using the sheller, "Dad, can I still shell some myself?" Can a Gravely power this sheller? I have a PTO attachment. A V belt and a flat belt. I want to rig up an ice cream maker.

If you rig up an ice cream maker, please make a video and post it on YouTube.
