Pipe Break In

I smoke almost exclusively meers now. No break in, just satisfying reaming and waxing a regular basis.
Previously I never bothered with any special break in procedure. No goop on the chamber walls, no half, quarter or fifteenth bowls. I just properly packed the pipe and smoked it. The cake came in due time and was joyfully reamed when required.

I dont' own a meer. My go-to pipe is the Brigham I bought 40 years ago. It had a brother that I threw out in a fit of righteousness. I'm glad I kept this one. Wish I had the other.
