I have a curious question about your collection of beautiful prayer ropes and beads.

What prayers do these assist?

You are likely familiar with the Roman rosary, in which the beads count Ave Maria and Pater Noster prayers as we meditate on the mysteries of the life of Christ and sacred scripture. I am not initiated in the Greek Orthodox virtue of praying with beads.

Also, the picture above has 17 beads in the loop.

While the picture below has 19 in the loop and one on the tail. So question about Greek Orthodox prayer and math.
