Santerini over my dead body in December. My wife and mother in law want to go. In between the Greeks and Cockneys, I don't know what to do.

Reckon I'll start duolingo now so as not to be overcharged to kingdom come.

Still have some trips planned, to Galveston, New Orleans, and a December east coast visit to Savannah and Charleston. Whether they happen remains to be seen.

I'd like that, and it may be in the cards for later this year, we'll see, after a virtual meeting in September.

We just returned from a nice overnight trip to Pismo Beach.
Some observations:

They're realigning the interchange of HWYS 45 and 41, so the famous James Dean death tree is no longer visible from the highway.

Probably the best clam chowder in Pismo is at Zorro's Cantina, a small Mexican place so you get chips and salsa, too. For a small surcharge
they'll top it with fresh crab. It's worth it!

Yesterday afternoon, a od of whales were feeding on krill about 1/4 mile off shore. One or two whales would breach every minute or so, spouting water. It was so cool to see!

This morning the beach was covered with clams in the 4-5" size, as well as mussels and sand dollars. Most were still alive so we didn't collect any of those. I've never seen that many clams on that beach before!

There was a big fire on Cuesta Grade so we took HWY 46 instead of 101, passing the former site of Hidden Valley Dude Ranch where Hidden Valley dressing was institutionalized, and Castoro Cellars

On the way home we had smash burgers for lunch at the Firestone Walker Brewery in Paso Robles---excellent!

That's all I've got to report.

Annual Bros and Boys fish/camp trip in Southern CO in a couple days. There will be 6 this year. I sold the camp trailer so we'll be in tents. Weather forecast looks great.
