Christian Pipe Smokers

Gentlemen,

This is to formally announce that our brother of the pipe, JimVH, has reached the top level of Pipe Perfection. Yesterday in the late evening, Jim stepped out onto his porch intending to have the last pipeful of the day. He had a trusty Dublin shaped estate pipe that he bought on Ebay for the princely sum of $3.99 (plus shipping). This pipe in question was so old and well handled that no markings were left in the briar. He filled said pipe with a couple pinches of Dark Birdseye. Pulling out his trusty ZZ Top Zippo with a pipe chimney he lit the bowl. For some reason he didn't have to tamp or relight so he puffed away in a nicotine hazed bliss. Approximately 13 minutes into the smoke he decided to blow a smoke ring. The following picture and article are evidence of the result. He has reached the hallowed grounds of Pipe Perfection.

Hahaha. It’s kind of eerie how close you got on the believable parts of the story. Not to say the giant ring in the sky didn’t happen, of course.

Good post; that's a pretty cool smoke ring, albeit the smoke being sort of black. I woulda guessed that he was smoking an aromatic of some sort, rather than Dark Birdseye.

When JimVH chews tobacco, he spits perfect juice rings.

Not going to lie, this thread initially scared me.

When JimVH was born he drove is mother home from the hospital.
