I'm not a doctor nor do I play one on television, but it looks to be a flesh wound above his right ear.
With the rhetoric being spewed it was only a matter of time, I suppose.
Very sad.

That's too close...

If the Left wants violence, then there will be violence. No matter what peaceful conservatives do or don't do.

We'll have to wait and see what happens. Meanwhile, use your influence to tell Democrat media and political leaders to quit with the rhetoric of violence and doom.

Other than perhaps a day or two pause for propriety, I just pray that Biden et al. don't ease up on calling out the threat of Trumpian Fascism because of misplaced political correctness.

Do not be dismayed. CNN, MSNBC, and a few other fake news media have already jumped on the opportunity to blame Trump for the shooting and insist that they could not possibly be accountable for their rhetoric.

Even though Biden had to pull his ads after the assassination attempt due to their inflammatory nature and lies (calling Trump a racist/fascist, etc), the Democrats and their media have no intention to stop throwing gasoline on the fire.

Meanwhile, I solemnly assure you: MAGA Republicans and the Right Wing media hate fascism far more than Democrats and the Left do. We hate it so much, we refuse to put it into practice. We haven't prosecuted Democrat candidates, or sent SWAT teams to terrorize pro-life families, or attempted to censer voices that speak against us.

After Trump is elected, our media watchdogs will certainly call out fascism as soon as it happens, as we already regarding Biden. We have no ideological allegiance to any party or race or political persons regarding the fight against injustice.

FOX News reported stories that were critical of Trump -- right at 50% of the time, according to some critic agency that monitors media bias. Ben Shapiro sorted his daily podcast stories according to "Good Trump - Bad Trump," based on his opinion of Trump's actions on a given situation. If your news media are that balanced, trust them.

Otherwise, don't be gullible. Ditch the fake news. They likye to claim that Trump is a fascist, but they never have any facts to back up that claim. Just like they boast of all of Biden's significant accomplishments over the last 3.5 years, without ever naming one.

Corey Camperatore, 50, firefighter, husband and father. Took his wife and daughter to enjoy the excitement of a Trump rally.

Threw himself over his wife and daughter at the first sound of shots fired. Took a bullet to the head and died instantly, protecting his family.

Democrat Governor Shapiro of Pennsylvania declared him to be an American hero, ordered flags in the state to be flown at half-mast.

Cody Camperatore. Remember his name.

Hold the elected Democrats and their media accountable for their rhetoric. Make them admit that Donald Trump is NOT a fascist, NOT a racist, NOT a deadly threat to our democracy.

Trump set up a charity fund for the victims:
Supporters donate more than $2.3M to victims during Trump's assassination attempt

At this moment, the fund is over $3.3M:

I am very sympathetic to the calls from all sides to "calm the rhetoric."

Biden gave a nice speech calling for a calm down. And he pulled down all of his offensive, lying ads, especially the one insisting that Trump is an overt bigot who actively hates Black people.

Some elected Democrats humbly admitted that it is time to stop.

It will be momentous to hear what Mr. Trump has to say this week at the Republican Convention. Now that he has the November election pretty much in his hands and higher courts have shot down all of the lawfare cases against him, he sees now that his job is to unite the nation again. Can he do it? How does he even start?

This will be a lot more difficult than merely turning the economy around again.

I mean to help in my small way, by celebrating when political leaders and media respect our call that they reject the inflammatory tone.

These leopards are going to change their spots overnight. Of course, Biden is never going to admit that his own rhetoric has been a problem. Biden never in his life admitted to making a mistake, and he's not going to start now. Leftist media are still going to call Trump a racist and Hitler and a deadly threat to our democracy. That's the only strategy they have to push Biden's campaign, as he has no record of success to run on. And Right-wing media are still going to call out every single time that Democrats and their media erupt with inflammatory lies. Every. Single. Time.

Anger gets the clicks. Our duty is to ignore the angry voices. Force leaders and media to merit our attention by their good behavior.

I don't know if this counts for "calming the rhetoric." Rap music always looks and sounds angry to me.

Conservative rapper Tom McDonald cranked out a new tune this week after the assassination attempt. I think I like it.

"Thank God the Left can't aim.
Thank God the Right don't riot."

If you check it out, you'll want to turn on the captions. I can't listen this fast....
