I haven't smoked much in recent years. This has to change.

My pledge this Lent is to smoke more and pray more, pairing these virtuous habits as Tolkien and Lewis and Chesterton did.

I'm working through a tin of Warped: Midsommar by Cornell & Diehl. It's full-forward with Orientals (Izmir and Basma), along with some bright virginia and mild burley. Surprisingly, no bite! Dry smoke, white ash.

Latest bowl was in CPS POY falcon.

15 y/o C&D Stratford in a Savinelli petite billiard.

Nothing to write home about. No bite, unlike fresh Stratford, but not much else seems to have changed - it's very much the same flavor(s) of a young Stratford, but unlike young Stratford's effects on moi, it doesn't slice through the tongue - I may notice some other differences after it's had a chance to breathe.
Wishing you God's very best!

15 y/o GLP Stratford in a Savinelli alligator billiard

Much different than my experience with young Stratford. This is an incredibly smooth smoke. A little one dimensional, not gaining complexity during the smoke but staying pretty consistent from start to finish, but it's thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.

Before this tin is finished I'd like to A/B it against young Stratford to test this thought: Perhaps I've changed as much or more than 15 years changes this blend.
Wishing you God's very best!
