Squirrel Hatch, Kentucky. I think. Maybe. Or not.

Squirrel Hatch, Kentucky. I think. Maybe. Or not.

Post by Hovannes »

I've been following reports of the horrible devastation following Hurricane Helene, praying for those poor people and their families.
I remembered a well-respected Christian writer, philosopher and scholar from a small town, I think in Kentucky, called Squirrel Hatch.
I don't remember his name, or I'd do a search.
I did search Squirrel Hatch Kentucky but all I get are hits on Squirrel Hunting in Kentucky.
What I'd like to know is if the town was affected by Helene.
So I thought I'd ask about this here.
I'm sure the town was Squirrel something or other, probably Kentucky but maybe Tennessee or perhaps West Virginia.
Does anyone here know who or what I'm talking about?

I found a "Squirrel Gap" in North Carolina.
Not much of a town. Really just a geological feature in the mountains there.

I found some "Squirrel Run" rivers and streets in the southeastern states.

Nobody has heard of "Squirrel Hatch." Could be mythical.

The fellow has published several books and articles. At the Chesterton convention in Colorado Springs, I met a Classics prof who had lectured on his work so I'm not hallucinating. Unless I'm hallucinating.
