Requesting prayers for a Friend/co-worker's family

I have a Friend at work, Peter, who was diagnosed with cancer a couple of years ago. He has been very private about his status and health. When I came into work this morning I was advised that Peter had lost the battle with his cancer and passed away last night. I know Peter was prepared and had tried to prepare his family... I know that his family is devastated and they are in need of God's comfort and mercy. If you would include them in your thoughts and prayers, I would appreciate it.

It doesn't matter whether they saw it coming or not, it still hurts like nothing else can. Praying for all those who knew and loved - or even just appreciated - Peter.
