The OFG's Pocket Knife

Post about everything from carrying a handkerchief to manly skills (sharpening a pocket knife, etc), to product reviews of items that may have slipped inder our radar (ie Grandpa's Pine Tar soap). No threads on anything 'new' unless it hearkens to old-fashioned sensibilities and ideals.

The OFG's Pocket Knife

Post by Bloodhound »

This Sping the gunshow was in March and on the same weekend as my birthday. My table partner gave me a Puma Stockman for my birthday. A beautiful knife and big enough to be useful, but not so big that it doesn't get carried.

Its back now...don't know what I did differently...its a way cool knife but it started me down a KAD road, and I bought 3 more knives in the last week. One I am going to give to my Son In Law but the others are just cause...I would be better off buying pipes...they are not as expensive as pipes, and are more likely to see at least some use...these knives...well they are fun to look at.

I've been carrying a Kershaw Crown for 15 years now. My original vanished several years ago and I replaced it with another. I have two spares as well. Darn good knives for the price.

This is my Opinel No.8.
I use it exclusively for cutting tobacco. The handle has darkened from boiling it in linseed oil.
