Bought some tubes at lunch for some 29 x 2.1 tires. Also bought some bike tools, because, you know, tools.

Mounted a set of 29 x 2.1 Maxxis Torches last night. Like a big BMX tire. Can pump it up to 65psi for my commute. Fun tire.

That's the tire. Had to order from Spain to get a set in this size (that I could afford, even with shipping it was cheaper). They are a blast to ride.

It will be over 100 degrees this week in central Texas so I will have to ride accordingly.

The Brazos valley has its own kind of hot. The miserable kind.

I miss when I would ride regularly. During A&P school, I'd ride 35 miles at least 5 nights a week. I had some nice legs back then! I moved down to MD and my riding started to fade. My yard sale Schwinn finally wore out beyond economical repair and I haven't ridden since. I've considered buying another bike, but I just don't have the time to ride right now. Perhaps some day.

My son and I just loaded 3 of the family bikes on the roof rack and dropped them off at storage. Still 2 bikes in the garage. Will take one of them to storage in a month and move the other to our furnished apartment we'll be moving into for a couple weeks. Then everything gets moved to the new house after closing on July 27th.

Our closing has been moved to 26 Aug. Have one bike at my temp apartment. Sciatica has kept me off the bike for 3 weeks. Might be able to ride this week. I really miss it.

My son, here's some middle age truth: 'some day' only happens very rarely. If cycling is something you value, carve some time out for it, of bid it farewell.
