I've been eyeballing this vintage banjo.... 4 string tenor. A purchase could be in my near future.

I was in the local Dollar Store today, dog treats are like a dollar. I know right?!

So I've got my dog snack, and two toy things.

As often happens in my local Dollar Store, the human directly in front of me at the pay for it station as an Octogenarian was having difficulty with the plastic money taker machine. The register operator was so very nice. Once everything got sorted out, it was my turn.

The Register area has gum, candy, snacks, Towers that prevent viewing the Register Operator until it's your turn. It is now my turn.

I can only report on what I saw.

Plopped my junk down and immediately noticed that the Register Operator appeared to be a black woman in white face. The eyebrow makeup gave the impression of old school Japanese woman. It was interesting. When we finally met eyes I smiled and so did she and she had serious blue contacts. She bowed as she said thank you.

To recap, I saw a black person with white face in Pittsboro, NC today.

I gave zero coituses.

Pretty. It's like the one that Cool Hand Luke plays, right?

Thanks!

It's a Bacon and Day Senorita 4 string 19 fret Tenor banjo. I have a 5 string... gonna try to learn a 4 string (not that I have the 5 figured out). Strum strum strum.... we'll see how it goes. It does look very nice-- it's an "intermediate" banjo from them from the depression period--- but they still had some mighty fine quality craftsmanship. We shall see--- it's weird to buy online sight unseen..... yet there is a draw after doing research. We shall see (it's a good brand for sure).

I found some keto bars at Ollie's. Cinnamon roll and peanut, carmel, nougat.
I expected the normal, rock hard bar of modeling clay, but these suckers were good! Both boxes were gone in a day.
Being keto, they use "sugar alcohol." Pair that with loads of fiber in to them and I was a one man orchestral brass section.
That lasted until evening when things started..... loosening up. Yup, couldn't trust those royal fanfares to be all thunder and no rain any longer.
Every freaking half hour!
Do they make a toilet paper for tender behinds?

Moving day. Moving into a furnished apartment for 4-5 weeks until closing day on our house. All of our stuff is in storage. Long, twisty journey with lots of bumps.
