They didn't have fudge, but apparently they had food poisoning on the menu. Several of us got sick/are still sick.

Mrs FredS and I went to a concert in Denver a few weeks ago. Like most places, the best venues are in the hood and, when we got back to the car, there were some Hispanic dudes cooking huevos rancheros in the parking lot. You could smell the onions and peppers from a block away. There was also a homeless dude sitting with his back to a lamp post and playing guitar. Same cat played for us while we were standing in line to get in the club. Someone from the band (Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors) got off the bus and gave him a C note. I bought us both a midnight dinner of huevos rancheros rolled in corn tortillas.

As much as I hate going down there, there's no doubt that the place is alive and vibrant with all sorts of goings on. And sometimes, if I look deep enough, I see that some of it's good.

I wore an ascot for the first time today. Worked well. Highly recommend.

Just got back from seeing It's a Wonderful Life on the big screen. First time showing in a theater since it was released.

I’ve been in a waiting room all day that looks out over a high-rise construction site. Cranes, bulldozers, dump trucks, and all manner of heavy and light equipment. I’m still just as giddy watching them work as I was when I was a kid.
