Christian Pipe Smokers

I was digging around in a bag looking for gloves this afternoon and found a tin of Dunhill Ready Rubbed.

We finally have hot water after 36 hours of a frozen water pipe. Showers for everyone!

Mrs FredS and I needed to get the heck out of the house after Christmas dinner. It's been so freakin' cold the last few days that we've been pretty much hunkered down but it was finally above freezing and I needed out. We went downtown to see the Christmas lights one last time. There were very few people out, but one bar was open and there was a group of smokers on the sidewalk so we stopped and visited while the girl smokers fawned over the dog. It was just a few minutes but it was one of those things that warm an old man's heart. People are mostly cool. Then I picked up a book called "A Trapper's Journal" from one of those free little library boxes. Then the dog freaked over a bear statue in a little park area. I mean he flipped out, slipped his collar and hid in a doorway! We had to backtrack up an alley to get around it. A lady in a mini van stopped to give a couple homeless guys each a gift. It seemed like she knew them. No idea what was in the boxes, but I said it looked like curling irons. Mrs FredS doubted that.

Del and tuttle will be happy to know that everyone said "Merry Christmas" with not a single "Happy Holidays" to be heard.

Went with my FIL to Blowe's and Home Derp-o today to pick up plumbing supplies. There were A LOT of people there for the same thing, but both stores were still well stocked. Whoever does planning for these stores deserves a cookie.

I'm okay with "Happy Holidays!"

I also accept "Enjoy the Holy Days!"
