Absolutely useless facts about you nobody cares about

3 days before Christmas, my wife informed me that the bottom oven in the double oven wall unit was not heating up. I contacted a couple of repair shops and big surprise no one was available till after the 1st of the year. So my wife made do and we did just fine with the one working oven. I was thinking the element was trashed....
Well the repair guy came over yesterday and took a look...$175 for the visit, +$25 if he had to pull the unit out of the wall...he did have to pull it out of the wall, but I helped him, as there was an issue with the frame. He explained that if it was one part, it was $500+ to replace, if it was another part. that one was $480+...and some parts are just discontinued...I was dreading his diagnosis...He then announced he had tested some of the parts, and it was a $30 relay...
So he didn't charge me for pulling it out of the wall because I helped. It was the $175 and the $30 part and since he was a great kid, and knew his stuff and had the part with him, I gave him a healthy tip...
So the ovens work and it didn't cost me like I thought it would...next the garage door...its always something
