Visa to Japan

Could use some prayers. Japan is closed to tourist travel making a spousal visa a requirement for my visit. Even with their, ahem, xenophobic history the application process is onerous. The cherry on top is the fact that the immigration officer on the ground is under no obligation to honor an approved visa and I could be turned away at the gate.
