8:00 am, Monday, Oct. 16: 34°F. Winds are NW @ 17mph.

I watched the first little snow shower of the season. It lasted about 10 minutes. Sun is breaking through the clouds now.

Pacific NW. The 'wet coast' is in a drought. Mid October should be wet and soggy. It's warm and sunny. Forcast is for another 10 days of warm & sunny. Truly weird. This ain't no 'indian summer' this is something else.

No matter what the weather, the alarmists will surely tell us that it is due to Climate Change™.

It sounds dreadful.

I was cleared to go to the mountains, so this weekend I went...

The color was all gone at the cabin, bare trees. Saw lots of deer, the guy at a neighboring cabin filled his moose tag, he is 83 years young. The temps were not bad low 60s during the day and upper 20s over night. Just a skiff of snow on the peaks.

I got 30°F this morning. Frost on the grass and windshield.

No wind. Beautiful sunrise. Mostly clear skies, with some patches of broken stratus clouds, way up high. Excellent visibility.

A few planes just took off from the backyard runway.

It's snowing. Big fat slushy flakes that splat and melt on contact.

The drought has broken and we're back to rain. West Coast rain. Lots of it. 52 degrees.
