Daughter #1 and fam live at Raintree so it was close, but no cigar. I haven't actually heard from her, but I presume no news is good news. Daughter #3 sent video of the funnel cloud made by from a friend who lives near 150. I've always hated tornadoes at night because it's (obviously) difficult to see them coming to determine how close they're going to get. As tuttle knows, guys who grow up in tornadoey country run outside to scan the sky when they hear the warnings, and only take cover if/when it's bearing down on them.

Going to be hot today. Maybe a record. Got up early and did all my outside stuff, except mow the side yard - the grass was too wet - before 8:00a.

Yet another gorgeous summer day in Wisconsin. Sunny and 75°F.

I padded up to Mrs. Del with my leash in my mouth and she took me for a long walk in our local nature conservancy. Mosquitos were dormant this afternoon, and it was lovely.

We are invited to join some friends from Africa (The Gambia) this evening in their community celebration of the Islamic feast of Eid al-Adha.

It's hotter than a fresh pile of turd on the front right stove burner.

I couldn't stay outside for very long with this Covid. Supposed to get some rain this week, so may cool things down some.

It's been very pleasant in Grayling, MI where we're presently camping. Lows in the 50s highs in lower 80s with low humidity.

Heading home to slightly warmer (but not unpleasant) weather.

We supposedly hit 108 yesterday down the road from you. A little cooler 105 today.

We hit ~101 on the coast. Was in the 90s today. BTW did I mention that the AC on our car is out? I'm taking it to a shop in the morning for a check up and some freon. I'm pretty sure we still have freon and not 410A.
