We had thunder hail yesterday afternoon, but still not a flake of snow at my house. News crews 60 miles south in Denver are going bonkers over the snowfall there though. Praying that Bloodhound doesn't have to drive to the city today.

I had taken the day off, penny and I were going to head North for the Mercy Me concert in Loveland...but we have 17 inches of the heavy white stuff and I-25 is a mess and the surface roads are worse...so it looks like a quiet day/evening at the house.

It’s 61f in the quiet suburbs of Tomball, Texas. The sun is shining and the driveway sitting conditions are spectacular. The weather folk say it will hit 91f today, but that should be just fine in the shade later.

It cooled down to the high 90's. Next week the high 80's are what's predicted.
I'd better grease the bindings on my snowshoes.

Snowing and windy in the mountains. It's fooling the camera at the cabin into alerting that a "Human body" has been detected. What's happening up there will be happening here in a few hours, so snow is coming. Highs in the 40's today and hard freeze/snow overnight. I'm ready.

Mid 60s-70s here in the mighty San Joaquin Valley with a rumor of rain coming this weekend.
We'll see.

In the 40s last night. Had to turn the heat on for the first time this morning. The house was only 67° but the dog was shivering.

It’s 29f here this morning. It will be above freezing shortly and this pattern is supposed to last only three nights. The roads are dry and the sky is clear.

Yet my fellow Texas suburbanites have lost their minds. Someone just posted on a neighborhood website asking about tire chains. News reporters are bundled in sub zero clothing reporting from outdoors as if it’s the apocalypse. And once again, bread, milk, and TP are in high demand.

It’s almost fun to watch.
