Melissa had a 3D ultrasound today. One of only 2 such machines in the U.S. I'm told. The doctor was kind and informative but was clear in saying, "i can't tell you anything until we get the scan back because anything I say could be totally wrong."

We hope to have the results by Monday. The doctor said that once we have the results we will determine next steps, and we hope there are no next steps.

I finally got my scan scheduled for next Tuesday at 12noon. It's nearly an hour from the house because they are short handed and backed up at the hospital 5 miles from the house!

Hopefully and prayerfully, by this time next week, we will hear that all is clear for us both. My dad has his next oncology appointment next Thursday.

Melissa got a call today from the oncologist regarding her images yesterday. They had hoped this would be definitive, but evidently it is not. They asked her to come in and have an additional 3D scan on her left side to help clarify direction for next steps. She goes for the follow up scan on Tuesday at 9:30 am. My Contrast CT will be across the street at 12:30pm. I have to work so we will go separately and will not see each other. We are still hopeful that by next Thursday we will hear all clear.
