Do you know who s/he is? Troubadour was TheSheperd on the old site. Many of their views - at least as presented on the forums - are well outside what most would consider a Christian worldview. This is a good place to explore those ideas though - just don't be shocked when s/he starts revealing more as they become comfortable bringing up what might be sensitive questions.

Even if some of the precepts expressed are valid - they're going to need to be substantiated better than by appealing to often misogynist and antifeminist notions like "chivalry".

I don't think that women of higher and more beautiful ideals like Jean d'Arc would want to have been burdened and inhibited by such a comparatively infantile thing.

(Heck, these days "chivalry" seem to be the refuge of sexually-frustrated virgins and closeted misogynists moreso than a cohesive philosophy that requires any deeper level of comprehension anyway).
Feminism is misogynistic. It opposes everything that is feminine... and all of the other virtues as well.

You hang out with stupid people. There's no cause for bringing that here.

CPS does stupid just fine on our own.

It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance.

Thomas Sowell was just enjoying a sense of moral superiority in his ignorance.
Okay. The new topic is "Spouting Ignorance."

Are you aware of Steven Pinker? He is the rogue academic who devised the "consciousness test" just a decade or two ago, regarding whether a human person is worthy of human rights. This opinion is far from mainstream (and disgusting to most people). Yet you assert this easily as if people everywhere have always believed thus.

The "consciousness test" is not broadly accepted by any human culture, and it is not recognized under any law. (You would be tried for murdering your grandfather, even though he has demential. Pinker thinks dementia patients are not human.)

But of course the pro-abortion lobby glommed onto this ethic like stink on a skunk. After 5 decades, they think that they finally have an intellectual justification for dehumanizing the child.

If you are going to preach dogmas, you need to know where they come from. And why your cult accepts them.

People have always believed that.... blah, blah, blah
The question is: Are you aware of Steven Pinker?

I want to determine if you are aware of where any of your beliefs come from.
