I'm pretty sure I'll never need that word, but I'm going to carry it around, just in case.
Moisture has to suffuse throughout the tobacco.

Just sayin'.

But will all of these methods work in the 21st century? That's the real question right there.

OK so the cucumber slice got me part way...its still pretty dry. I am going to do the water on a paper towel with Rubber band. There is a lot here, it was a full tin, so I am gonna go slow and make sure it doesn't mold...rather to dry than moldy ;)

On the very rare occasion this would be called for, I have a fairly large desktop cigar humidor with 4 distilled water holding oasis vented humidifiers. The humidifier maintains 70% RH very consistently which is quite too wet for pipe tobacco. I just put an open tin/jar in the bottom of the humidor under the top tray that where I always stored unwrapped cigars. After a couple of days, the tobacco would be just about perfect. Much more than that (because I forgot about it) and it was too wet but not a problem. Just lit it sit out for a couple of hours before putting the lid back on. I found that to be the perfect hydrating system.

The most consistent use for this was when I mixed different blends. A couple days in the humidor then a couple hours on the table and the entire blend would have the same moisture content for a more consistent smoke.

God invented it.

It's almost like it's perfect.
AND .. .given that I'm 98% water, that'd make me 98% perfect. No?
Checking in this was on as my first notification in queue.

I cannot remember your faith tradition, if any.

So.

Answer 1 Assuming: You are tied to one of the Abrahamic faiths to include all of these branches it covers. Ultra Orthodox Jew to Appalachian Inbred Snake Handling preacher, then

No.

Answer 2 Assuming you are agnostic, atheist, pagan, witch, or a Scientologist, then

No.

You are Canadian, however. So, 98% perfect don't get yer name on the cup, now does it?
