Masculine and feminine perspectives

Post by FredS »

Of course there's a difference. In general. There are literally thousands of books on the subject and how the different ways of viewing the world can be meshed together rather than repel.

A family member was recently killed. I said "I hope he went down swinging."
Mrs FredS said "What difference does that make?"
Me "It matters to those who consider avenging his murder."
Her "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Seriously? That's where your mind goes?"

That "Nothing Box" video is great! My marriage has benefitted greatly from these insights for many years.

Looping back to the "casual sex" thread -- Men have a much greater capacity for enjoyment from casual and meaningless sex (which is why gay men are so notoriously promiscuous). Women are more wired to leave hook-ups feeling empty and used.

This is why every healthy culture imposes restraints on men's appetites. We must honor and respect women, not use/abuse them.

Not to mention monkeypox.

I don't know, bro. My wife has a different perspective. Sometimes it's refreshing.

Sometimes.

Not often.
