My wife and children went apple picking today. I worked as befits a paterfamilias. Well, I went to my store, anyway, which isn't exactly work.

I have apples and cider (best in about four or five days). I have a happy crew.

Not going to lie. I'm throughly gruntled.

We made an offer on a cabin in the mountains today. As that other mountain-cabin-dweller used to write "we shall see".

Last night was the first night in our new house. Boxes everywhere, don't know where most of what we want is.

I have two teenagers. This morning I discovered the joy of having a third bathroom. It's only a half bath, but it's mine.

I used my new 10" WEN bandsaw for the first time today to make a spacer for my Model T's battery carrier, as 6 volt batteries have shrunk in size since 1924.
It made my happy to make something out of wood, even something no one else will likely ever see.

I was in need of a low profile floor jack.
I checked out the Harbor Freight site and they had a 2,000# Pittsburgh on special with a printable coupon, and today is the last day of the sale.
That made me happy (in a purely materialistic way of course!)

The national nightmare is over for my family. We got internet service at lunch.
