Does anyone else sometimes wonder who may be missing in your life because they were aborted?

Dogmas are simply conclusions based on science or information. And a wonderful thing at that, not something "bad" as you seem to imply, since what worth would science or information be if it didn't lead to the formation of meaningful conclusions?

No one who is even marginally credible could believe that an embryo a day after conception with no greater physical development or cognition is directly equitable to a child. That's why even "conservative" regulations related to abortion are predicated on development or cognition markers, such as a heartbeat.

I honestly don't think you're naïve enough to believe that dogma, it's just a simple, effective propaganda tool which preys on people's emotions.

They aren't dead babies and they never will be, plain and simple. Anymore than "meat" will be "murder" just because PETA "says so". And even fully-grown mammals display more physical development and cognition than an embryo one millisecond after conception does, so even their cases is stronger than yours.

There's no fact and link you can display which will state that an embryo one nanosecond after conception has a heartbeat or brain activity - so if you're just going to display pictures or information about later-stage abortions (which I'm pretty sure everyone has seen), it will have no bearing on the facts and had and be easily debunked.

And yes, I totally love genuinely inferior classes having fewer children (if any at all) than genuinely superior ones - white, black, or whatever color their inferiority is dressed up in, We certainly don't need to apply idle egalitarian fancies in cases of genuine judgments of inferiority based on genuine and consistent principles.

Much as we don't have to worry about idle fancies such as nonexistent "dead babies" by merely stating the fact that many degenerate birth circumstances would be better off having never existed to begin with.
I haven't read through the whole thread, so it may be in there somewhere, but I'm curious: at what point do you believe the meaningless lump of tissue becomes a human being with dignity and worth?
I'd say at the first sign of cognition. Though even definitions such as a heartbeat I'm more than fine with as well.

...snip
So personhood is in part limited by the sensitivity of our scientific instruments? Does this also mean that a person in a coma who has no active cognition ceases to be a person?

No, it's by the existence of said scientific instruments - or lack thereof.

If they're clinically braindead, yes. It's perfectly legal to remove a clinically braindead person from life support regardless of them having "human DNA".
Brain dead and lack of cognition are not the same thing.

Right, so he's admitting that it isn't a baby yet.
