King Chuck will be an abomination. May his reign be short.

I can't help having a similar feeling of the type I had at the fire at Notre Dame. Obviously this marks an ending, but it feels as if it marks the end of something beyond just her reign, beyond the British Monarchy altogether (just as the fire marked something beyond Paris). Her death feels very symbolic. A new age or era is a poor way to describe it. Something for me to mull over.

There will still be royals but the concept of "regal" is gone.

Agreed. I feel sad, not because she died, we all do, but because she's representative of something much greater.

A divorcee is now the titular head of the Church of England. Long live the King!

Well, that's how it got started in the first place.
