King Chuck will be an abomination. May his reign be short.
If they're smart, they'll just skip him. Why waste the cost of a coronation on a guy that has maybe a decade left? Put the crown on some young royal and get some bang for your buck. Just my two pence. I, well my forefathers anyway, ceased to care about the British monarchy back in 1776.

Embarrassing for the Brits, for sure.

One wonders if God saved the Queen so long in order to reduce Charles' time on the throne.

Does one? Does one really?

Sorry. I was compelled.

Let's see what good King Alfred E Newman can do. Should be good for laughs.

Queen Elizabeth II, dead at 96

My late mother was a true British subject from Canada. Late afternoon tea, pictures of the royal family, a love of the pipes music. She raised me an anglophile. She even resembled the queen.

I am a bit sad today.

She lived a long life, and all of it was admirable. God rest her.

But I know how you feel. Mel Brooks is 96, and I'm a fan. I dread the inevitable day.

A nice lady. May she rest in peace.

I thought of this scene, somehow, with the discussion about King Charles.

Me too! I saw him trending a couple months back and had a reaction, thinking he'd kicked. It was just his birthday.

Pipeson got home from work yesterday.

Me: "Queen Elizabeth just died."
Pipeson: "Yeah, I heard that."

Me: "Do you know who else is 96?"
Pipeson: "MEL BROOKS"
