Well, that's how it got started in the first place.
In all fairness, like any good Catholic, he had his marriages that didn't end in death annulled. If his first wife hadn't been the aunt of the Holy Roman Emperor the Church of England as we know it likely wouldn't exist.
Now, if you want royal divorcees, the Eastern Roman Empire has you covered.
