Canadian politics just got real.

Trudeau faces popular, fiery opponent.
Poilievre, an energetic firebrand populist, has aggressively taken aim at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s progressive agenda. Now, the newly-minted Conservative leader is positioned to be a thorn in Trudeau’s side at the very least and a formidable force that torpefies the Liberal Party prime minister’s agenda at most.
Do we have anyone with experience on conservative Canadians here?

It looks like the Trucker's Protest has some follow-up in Ottawa.

Nope, no Canadian conservatives here... no. Move along... move along...

I feel ya'.

Trump supporters in Blue States learned to keep their heads down. No lawn signs or bumper stickers, no posts on social media, and don't dare talk to pollsters. Those deplorable semi-fascists could lose their jobs or worse, if anyone found out.

They were so hard to find or count in 2016 that Hillary didn't even bother to draft a concession speech.

Thanks be to God for secret ballots!

For the record; Polliviere is going to mop the floor with Castreau's cool hair.

He was Boooo'd loudly when he left Canada House in London today.

Trudeau didn't exactly endear himself to the mourning Brits.

So? There aren't any Brits in Canada. Right?

I don't think he has endeared himself to anyone. The Prime Narcissist only cares about himself. His fall will be satisfying.

Biden did not expose himself to British crowds, and it's just as well. The UK is already suffering much worse inflation and recession than we are, and that's entirely the result of Biden's energy policies -- and his allowing Putin to corner a monopoly on Europe's energy supply.

Britain just elected a conservative PM with Trump-style energy policies. Canada is not far behind, as Poilievre has Trump-style style and personality. Several EU member nations are now looking to exit like Britain did so they can manage their own energy and economies and affairs.

Biden's devotion to "green energy" has destabilized the whole world.

Don't count on it yet. There are an awful lot of stupid people out there.

Future generations are looking back at us with great interest, and it's really embarrassing.

Troubadour wrote: 20 Sep 2022, 16:45 "Populism" has always been left-wing to the core no matter which party embraces it. To the point that most left-wing "political philosophy" is decidedly populist in some way or another. I think this is why some say that Trump isn't a real "conservative".
I admire the effort you must have gone to in order to think that way.
