Best "Rewards" Credit Cards?

I am a fan of "rewards" for using CC's. I don't carry a balance and am happy to get gift cards, cash back or whatever just for using their service.

My current CC company is becoming political and I'd like to find an alternative.

They currently pay something like 3x for restaurant and gasoline purchases, 2x for other travel stuff and a 1.5x for everything else.

I do have another rewards CC through my bank but they only pay rewards for certain uses like grocery store and nothing else really.. Only collect a few bucks here and there..

What do you use?

Don't have a credit card. Played the points/cash back game once. One late payment (forgot I hadn't paid it) and all gains were cancelled out. I'm a disciple of Brother Dave Ramsey. Currently on steps 4,5, and 6.

A quick search provided some great info. Some cards offer way more points than what I'm currently earning! I should have looked into this long ago.

Do tell please! I / we use B.O.A. Visa and get basically what you described. We gave up trying to find a bank that is not a political mess. Tried to pick the most neutral we could find. We didn't find ANY.

WOW! I ONLY use that imbecilic service to receive a payment from Ebay occasionally and immediately remove the money. They could never get more than a few small $ from me, but I will be looking for other options.

Thank you for the link above.
