Christian Pipe Smokers

Popped an old jar of Mac Baren's Old Dark Fired labeled 03-2013. This has always been a very distinguishable blend to me. One I feel like I could surely pick out of a blind taste test. This batch definitely has that same similar taste, but I guess the last nine years in the jar as sweetened it up a bit somehow. At least from how I remember it.

Sure is enjoyable.

Nice! Dark Fired Kentucky packs a strong nicotine hit for me. I always have to proceed with caution. Do you find that to be the case with this one?

It's on the heavier side for me, but not so much that I have to "proceed with caution."

I liked "Old Dark Fired" I got some because it was discussed here/on the old site...but it turned out to be a gateway blend for me...to this:



This has a bolder and bigger flavor and a nic hit that if not paid attention to, could require some sitting down time.

I re-read this and laughed...then I remembered that FredS did get a change...But it wasn't to "Old Dark Fred"
