Roper round.

I'm ready to level up to python, gator, or armadillo. Other hides always good to consider.

Good choice for all around comfort and dress/casual crossover.

Check out Cuero Boots and Tecovas. Both have several roper/roper-ish styles in a few different hides.

The last boots I bought were Justin, cowhide, round toe, 11" tall, at Tractor Supply. It's been several years ago, I forgot how long, and they're still in good shape.

Good luck with that toe shape. I was shopping for a regular ol' roper a few months ago and 95% of the reasonably priced (and reasonably priced boots these days are not really reasonably priced) boots are square toe. Like the friggin' dingo boots we wore as kids. I'm lately intrigued by Tecovas but I ended up buying a house brand from the local boot barn. They're tough boots that actually need breaking in, but they're holding up well as s*** kickers so far.

I have 2 pair of boots that I bought when I was in my 20s...that means they are old...so old in fact that they no longer fit as my feet grew another size over the last couple of years...not that this matters, the point is, these 2 pairs of boots lasted and lasted! One was elk hide and the other was mule hide...both were comfortable and both lasted and lasted and "wore like iron". If I was buying a pair of boots now, I am not sure of the brand or style, but it would be Elk or Mule...
