I'd really like to have a Glock 17L. I really don't like the price on new ones. That extra length really commands a premium so I'll wait for a used one.

My officemate likes to send me videos of big bore guns.

Do you tie a tail on your Bore Snake?
Seriously.
A fellow who used to train Navy Seals and was a celebrated Trap shooter told me this, so if it broke when you're pulling it
through the bore, you'll have something to hang on to, to pull it back out.
Ever heard of this? Ever broke a Bore Snake?
Seriously.

I've heard of it, but never think of it at cleaning time. Makes sense. Keeps you from having to ramrod it out with something that may scar the bore.Hovannes wrote: ↑22 Feb 2024, 16:58 Do you tie a tail on your Bore Snake?

I have never had a bore snake fail, but I see the concern. My smaller bores, like .22 and .17 really require a lot of tension sometimes. I've never used one on a shotgun.

I was off Monday and Tuesday this week. (holiday and a play day). I spend the better part of both days at the gun club in the rifle tube! Quality time with the .338 Win mag, the .243 Win, and the .308 Win. The club has a computer range system with cameras so you can see the shots from the bench and it measures the shot to shot or the overall group! Shooting centerfire rifles indoor...TOO COOL!
