Though arguing with a meme may be its own punishment, this one's riddled with bad logick.
  • There is a Natural Right to Bodily Integrity as well as a Natural Proscription against Bodily Mutilation.
  • There is no Natural Right to Own a Gun. Neither is there a Natural Proscription against Gun Restriction.
Yer welcome.

I may or may not own a set of these in OD.

Only the police and military should have guns.

Because guns kill people.

This first one is his pic of the pistol on the sales ad...the bottom 2 pics are mine once it got here...it is in much better condition than I was expecting. It is still a great project and I will have my work cut out for me, but it is going to be better/easier than I thought based on his photos. My photos are a little darker, but you can see that the most of the original bluing is there...in his pic it looks like it is all silver and rust, I will clean it and strip the old bluing and polish and then re-blue. The grips are in good condition, they will get a citris strip and clean and then light tung oil and it will be good to go...still with the look of age, but not mistreatment. The knob is missing on the take-down lever, but the lever operates as intended, so I'll keep my eyes open for a replacement, but I am not in a rush as it is functional as is.

So I looked and looked for a replacement takedown lever for this pistol. No joy. I contacted the owner of the New Company that is High Standard's latest reincarnation, and he told me that they would tool up and make some takedown lever assemblies and other parts this Spring. Well I had also left "Looking for..." notices at GunParts, and a couple of other likely websites. Well GunParts e-mailed me that they had an origional assembly!

It has been ordered and is on its way...then I will get started on this project. Its going to be a kick!
